I've been seeing the words "my body my choice", usually used to justify pro-choice abortion beliefs, being used by people who don't want the Covid vaccines forced on them. Frankly, this seems like a fair argument to me. One should have control over one's body, and over what goes in it or what medical procedures are performed upon it.
I've begun to see the argument that anyone who gets "government benefits" should be forced to get the vaccine, because essentially they are being taken care of due the generosity of the wealthy and the elite classes who pay most of the taxes. I find this to be reminiscent of the reasoning used by some date rapists. After all, one of the classic lines is "I paid for dinner, now you're going to put out." Depending on the aggressiveness of the would-be Romeo, the date can expect to either be berated or all out assaulted should the advances be declined. In this case, should one refuse the experimental serum, the refuser is labeled a killer, selfish, ignorant, or what have you. The endgame seems to be to force vaccinations, or make it impossible to live one's life normally without them, which amounts to the same thing, and leads me to another example.
A breadwinning husband (or spouse in general I suppose) can always use the financial leverage that they have over a partner to control that partner, from their actions to their bodily integrity. Controlling spouses often isolate their victims (and who isn't more isolated now?), force them to to do degrading things, and generally break them down psychologically. Our authoritarian Democrat party, which is now composed of the rich and educated "elite" of the country, are pulling out all the stops to browbeat, gaslight, threaten, and above all control the lower financial classes in the same fashion, using much the same techniques as an abusive spouse.
One can argue that a public health emergency can lead to stronger measures being taken in the name of safety, and of course that is the argument being made, but one must take a hard look at the data and determine how much of an "emergency" this virus is. Having done that analysis, I think it's pretty hard to justify this being considered an emergency for the majority of the population.
Being forced to accept an injection, to be penetrated, by some government edict is a violation of one's free will, bodily integrity, and in my opinion is about as acceptable as rape and spousal abuse are.
