I have to ask myself a serious question here...
Do I have Biden Derangement Syndrome, Man?
Am I wildly projecting my own shadow onto the guy? He's pretty content free, sort of a blank slate (aside from when he's reading off the 'ol teleprompter), so he may be a good candidate for shadow projection. And I have certainly had serious reactions to seeing the guy bumble his way embarrassingly through press conferences (my day was lightened, however, when he ate whatever disgusting thing was stuck on his chin and brandished the note that informed him he had something stuck to his face at reporters, it was the highlight of his presidency for me so far). And at the moment, I have to admit to having feelings of dread and loathing for the guy and his handlers.
I can think of some things I don't hate about Joe Biden. He dresses well. He has good taste in watches. Some of his stories, while demonstrably lies in many cases, are at least amusing (his Corn Pop tale was pretty all right, just don't ask him about the kids stroking his legs in the pool). When he got in office I was deeply skeptical about him unifying the country, but he did at least mouth the words, which was good I guess. I enjoyed the stimulus money, although I'm not liking the whole massive inflation thing that seems to be resulting from it. He also ended the war in Afghanistan, which is the one thing he's done that I approve of (the way he did it was an unmitigated and unforgivable disaster, so there's that).
In the negative column, well, there's an awful lot I'm afraid. A lot of it I won't allow myself to go into because God help me I'm trying to do better, but golly it's kind of tough. The main thing I'm having trouble with is the fact that he basically declared himself a dictator and threatened the citizens of this country and their freely elected governors. To be fair to me, I don't think having that problem is deranged or projecting the shadow; it's a pretty normal response to the insane ravings of a dementia ridden perverted old lunatic.
Damn it, I guess I do have a case of BDS, Man. I tried to do better, I really did.
