Joe Rogan (famous podcaster, sports announcer, and game show host, if you aren't in the know), recently contracted the coronavirus. I've always liked the guy from his UFC announcing but I don't listen to his podcast, which is apparently quite popular. Only so many hours in the day and all that. He's been publicly frank about his concerns regarding the "vaccine". I took a quick look at trending Twitter posts about it, and they are about what you'd expect... people crowing about how an ignorant anti-vaxxer got his, hopes that he will die (spoiler alert, he won't), and more sarcastic remarks from the good, open minded left wingers who attack anyone who doesn't want their shitty injection.
It's kind of funny that they are mocking Rogan for getting the coronavirus after not getting "vaccinated", when so many of the people who did get the "vaccine" are getting it too. In fact, breakthrough infections are through the roof. So one might well ask how Rogan is dumber than someone who got the vaccine and is infected with Covid anyway. Since the "vaccine" is not tested for long term side effects (and has not been scientifically tested at all due to the control groups being "vaccinated"), you could make the argument that it's the guinea pigs who rushed out to get injected who are dumb. I mean, you are over 99.5% likely to survive a covid infection, especially if you are in good health.
And yes, everyone has heard about cases of younger people with no comorbidities getting sick and dying too. They are outliers and, while as tragic as any other death, there will always be outliers in any set of statistics. You could argue that looking at the whole event through the frame of statistical analysis is cold and inhuman, and it is in a sense. Nonetheless, we have to have some tool to gauge risk versus benefits of given actions, and statistics can be helpful here.
If you are fairly healthy and get the virus, you'll probably get over it. If you aren't, you should probably take as many mitigation steps as you can manage. Maybe trying out the trendy new injection is for you; if so, don't let me stop you. As for me, I'll pass, and any left winger who happens to read this has my permission to crow about it if I keel over.
I do wonder how they'll feel about getting those boosters the rest of their lives, though. One thing everyone I know who got the vaxx agrees on is that those shots really suck. We all make our choices and live with the consequences.
