A group of elites has plans to transform society in some way, but there are a group of holdouts in the way. Something must be done to enable the march of progress!
The holdouts are victims of wrongthink. They are part of an inferior, backwards culture. The poor things are profoundly misguided, and frankly innately dirty and inferior to the progressive elites. But maybe there is hope for them. They just have to be re-educated, so they see the light of the truth. And if they can't see the light, maybe they need to be isolated, or even killed.
How do you get them on board? Well, first publicly demonize them in the media of the day so that all of the good, right thinking people understand how bad and dirty they are. That way, it's easier to justify the things you are planning to do to them. Like taking their children and re-educating them in government schools, for example. Or stripping the target population of their language and culture. In addition to making everyone else aware of how bad they are, you need to break the target population down as well. Let them know how bad and deplorable and backwards they are, so they are demoralized and confused.
Now if the target group fights back, so much the better! Not only are they dirty and backwards, they are also VIOLENT! Then you can really get to crushing them.
I could be talking about Native Americans, but the "deplorables" comment up there that attentive readers may have noticed probably tipped my hand. I'm talking about rural white people!
Of course, it is inappropriate and racist and just plain wrong to say that an elite group of rich white people may try to destroy the culture of, and to subjugate, people of their own skin color! After all, us "privileged white folks" are really a faceless monolithic block, right? Socioeconomics could never lead a group of elite white people to disenfranchise, demonize, and eradicate other white people. Can't think of any historical events where that happened! Clearly, I'm just an evil person trying to appropriate the much worse struggles of marginalized racial groups.
Spare me. I'm just offensive enough to say the obvious part. The Woke cultural and economic elites are right about what happened to marginalized groups in the past, they just kind of gloss over that they are in the middle of doing it again, right now, right out in the open.
The cultural elites want to destroy rural white people because we are stopping them from reshaping the country in ways that we don't like (ways that maintain their economic and cultural superiority, of course). So they are using the same tactics they weep to see employed on other minority groups on us instead. If you find that nugget of truth offensive, good. This essay was for you.
