I remember feeling very disillusioned and upset over the Bush/Kerry results as well.
I used to admire Canada quite a bit, and I thought the country had it together in ways we absolutely did not here in the US. I was astounded by how crazy Canada got during Covid. I was pretty inspired by your truckers though!
