I feel like I've been trapped in a stupid movie written by lazy screenwriters. Or maybe like I'm watching a bad film being screened in a theater full of idiots. The final straw was doctors in England claiming that up to 300,000 people have heart conditions due to stress from the pandemic.

If I was a character in this hackneyed metaphorical film, at this point I'd run out into the streets like a madman shouting "It's the vaccines you idiots! You fools! You're poisoning yourselves!" I'd probably end up in a padded cell or hit by a truck. Lazy writing.

If I was watching the movie in the theater full of idiots, I'd whisper knowingly "It's the vaccines" to my partner, and she'd nod and whisper back "I know."

But here I am in real life, and I want to say to someone, anyone, "Hey, it's the vaccines. They're killing people".

But there's no one to tell, because my partner already knows and my friends and family have all taken them and wouldn't listen, so I'm writing this post instead. I'm glad that this site doesn't censor people. Lean in closer, stranger, I want to tell you a secret. I NEED to tell you.

It's the vaccines. Wake up.

I'm having the opportunity to lean over and whisper to my husband (who's just followed my lead so far because he's a head-in-the-clouds academic and hasn't been following any but the basic Covid stuff but who is thinking about applying for a job at a univ. where vaccination would be required). I'm trying not to info-dump on him, but it's time for him to be presented with the plot-holed-lazy-writing of this dumb movie. Weird to have this moment so far into this movie, but fingers crossed he'll take the right pill and not go through with the application to go work in the belly of the beast.

It seems to have succeeded. He's not applying to that (or anything else, it seems) and he said, "well, I guess I'll keep any eye out for more translation/editorial work" which would be done remotely. Also, in a surprising twist, my youngest who took two shots to go to school (about which she's less than enamored, but there seems to be some lack of daring to go outside the expected norm in that regard) has said she's not interested in boosters and is generally sounding more red-pilled about the whole narrative than she has before. So, yes, leaning over and whispering can work - no need to run out in the street and get hit by a bus. :)

Yeah, I was very sorry that neither of my daughters could see through to the heart of what it means to be pressured, if not outright "required"*, to get injected, and to resist on principle, and that they'd willingly take an untested substance...

But this has been nothing if not a lesson in stoic practice and a spiritual test.

Unfortunately for me, being rather introverted and having worked from home for years, I don't have more than a few friends and they are pretty much all-in on covid-worry and the need for "vaccines". So I'm in the " thank goodness for the weird/fringe internet forums" camp.

* I don't think being required to take it for school is a real requirement because you can actually opt out. It's certainly a rotten carrot or a spike-studded stick (heh), though, and if you're not willing to think outside the lines, you're fooled into thinking it's a requirement.
