I guess you can add monkeys with clipboards and monkeys with Powerpoint to round out my title, but it would make it a little unwieldy. I'm talking about our ruling class. My brain is a bit muzzy from extra doses of holiday cheer this year; some things in my personal life seem to have resolved better than I'd hoped, so, although the Christmas season still didn't seem as magical as it did when I was a kid, it still had a bit of power and enchantment. While I was in my celebratory cups, so to speak, contemplating life on this planet in the Year of Our Lord 2021, I came to realization that the power of the elites really is a grand and elaborate illusion, and that it boiled down to just a few things... cameras and guns amongst them.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist... compared to the conspiracy theorists I know anyway. I guess, like most anything, you can create a spectrum with two extremes. On one end you can put the Q folks and David Icke types, and on the other you can put the absolutely clueless, head in the sand, credulous individuals (where I'm from we call them Joe Biden voters). Having created that binary, you can then work out different positions between the two. This opens up new possibilities and creates a veritable spectrum of speculations about our ruling elite's motives and actions, a tapestry of paranoia ranging from Utopian pastels to the very black depths of pure Evil. A little secret about looking at this Rorschach blot is that a lot of the time it will tell you more about yourself than it will about anything "out there".

Still, evil and ill will and even conspiracies certainly do exist, and anyone who has looked into what our Government has done (and actually admitted to doing) will find enough chilling information to give them plenty of sleepless nights. I am willing to take it a step beyond that and figure that, if they've been caught doing it to other population groups, groups in our government would probably not balk much at doing it to their own citizens. That isn't very far down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole, but since anyone can claim anything on the internet and deception is the stock in trade of various groups, it's as far as I'm interested in going.

The mindwar and carefully produced propaganda pumped out by the media is the most important aspect of the elite's strategy to control us, so I avoid it except in very rare circumstances. Like when I get the cacomagic blared at me when I'm filling up my gas tank or buying some toilet paper at the big box store, for example. Control what people think, what they think about, and the language they use to communicate, and you own their thoughts, or essentially put them in a mental prison. Monkeys with cameras. Monkeys with laptops, changing definitions, making ideas and words verboten. "Reporters" asking loaded questions of "experts" to gradually shift the range of acceptable discourse. Funny how they never ask the questions that really matter, and the little Q&A's always lead to erosion of liberty and demonization of the ones who reject the programming.

Here's a "conspiracy" nugget from occulture. Gareth Knight mentioned in one of his books that television was an old Atlantean technology used for mind control.

When the cacomagic and propaganda (which are more or less the same thing) fail, then you have the monkeys with guns of course. Control behavior by manipulating the mind, or control behavior with violence. It's easy to get people to kill for you, just give them some money.

Which brings me to monkeys with fancy paper you can use to buy bigger TVs. Now that the money is becoming less valuable and everyone knows it, and the Narrative is on life support (imagine the suspension of disbelief the people on the "nothing to see here" end of our conspiracy spectrum must be engaging in right now to maintain their belief in the Government's facade), soon all that will be left is naked force. The collapse of different regimes and systems of government throughout history shows that it isn't a forgone conclusion; the Soviet Union's dissolution was fairly peaceful.

Top down violence by governments against their own populations isn't the only way things can play out; there are always other monkeys who are ready to pounce on weak regimes and take advantage of popular discontent to seize power. As our government commits to policies that are radically unpopular outside it's echo chambers, they are almost guaranteeing that someone is going to have a go at seizing power.

The only reason our ruling elites have power is ultimately because we the people give it to them. For awhile it was more profitable for the masses to play along than not, and now many people are being bamboozled by fear and propaganda. The fact that the media is harping on insurrection is because they know that it's a real risk right now. I'm not sure it's wise to continuously label one's political enemies insurrectionists; as the regime become more tyrannical, it may end up making that seem like a better option. But no one has accused our elites of being wise.

One thing about living in America, there are a whole lot of monkeys with guns around here.
