Fair warning; I used a bit of profanity in this essay. I am a low-class deplorable type, so this is my normal mode of expression. I try to keep things clean because I created this account to interact on JMG's blog and those are his standards, but I rather enjoy a spot of profanity from time to time.
I've been reflecting lately on my "vaccine hesitancy", to use the polite media term for my refusal to join the great medical experiment the world is conducting right now. When they want to snarl and growl like the skinny-ribbed, shit-crusted curs they are, they use "anti-vaxxer", which isn't a term I would have historically self-applied. Ironically, since I've looked into it a bit, I've found some interesting information suggesting that childhood vaccination may not be as beneficial as most people believe. I wouldn't have spent time digging into the information if I hadn't been dubbed an anti-vaxxer, so the Regime has further undermined its own narrative and credibility with me even more as a result of its clumsy demonization tactics. I will let pass the continuous use of terms like insurrectionist to describe people of my political persuasion; if you insist on creating a binary consisting of Democrat party drone on one end and insurrectionist on the other, though, a fair number of people are going to gravitate to the end of that binary that one would think the ruling party would wish to avoid.
So... why won't I get it? Is it the premonitions of mass death from psychics and the grave concerns of mages and druids? Hours spent on forums with like minded refuseniks? Am I just being a contrarian because of politics?
That's a big nope. I can say with certainty that even if I wasn't a wizard who talks to gods (from one of my favorite anonymous comments on the Covid open post this week), even if I hadn't spent hours absorbing data and opinions on forums skeptical of the covid narratives, even if I was still politically aligned with Democrats, even if no doctors were speaking up about their concerns, I still wouldn't get the vaccine. I also know I never will; I will die without ever having tasted the sting of the totalitarian's needles.
One reason why is because I quit trusting big pharma when someone I was close to died of side effects from their prescribed medication. When I looked into crippling and fatal side effects of common medications further I was appalled by how corrupt and evil pharmaceutical companies are. This was pre-Covid-19. My trust in doctors as prescribers of these poisons was severely impacted as well, and the pure evil policies of medical insurance companies was enough to turn me off from the "medical industry" utterly. I quit trusting all of them, because they lie to people all the time to make money.
Do I trust Pfizer to make safe products that won't harm people? Um, no. Do I trust them to level with people about the risks of taking their products? Also a big nyet, comrade. They have a track record, and it isn't a good one.
Another institution I have zero confidence in is the media. It actually was Covid that put the final nail in the coffin of their credibility with me. When it became okay in the eyes of media flacks to get out en masse and violently riot and burn buildings during the same pandemic that required people to be isolated and locked down in their homes, I immediately discounted everything else they had to say, because their rationales were transparently partisan garbage.
Allowing millions of untested and unvaccinated illegal aliens to flow across our porous borders is another transparent signal that the powers-that-be don't believe in their own narratives. If they really thought vaccination meant a damn thing, if they really thought they or their families were being endangered by people who haven't taken the vaccine or been tested for Covid, the border would be closed, full stop.
So, I don't trust the medical industry, nor do I trust the media/tech companies, nor do I trust the government or the propaganda they are all conspiring to churn out (I didn't touch on why I don't trust the government because I don't have all night to write this missive; if you actually trust the government, dear reader, you need to get out more). I don't trust these organizations because they lie all the time. Even all of that aside, the fact that they are censoring all dissent and disallowing public debate of government policies in handling the pandemic tells me everything I need to know about the narratives they are pushing.
If you can't support your positions strongly enough to defend them against dissenters, if you have to silence all opposition and downright attack and demonize anyone who disagrees with you, then your position is too weak to stand on its own merits.
